背景介绍：电影《律政俏佳人》一开始，女主角Elle一心以为男友Warner要向她求婚，没想到出身豪门，即将去哈佛大学法学院读书的Warner居然提出分手。

Amendableto: 乐于接受某事，乐于做某事，为正式说法。由于Elle以为男友马上所说的“讨论未来”就是求婚，场合非常重要，所以语气正式了起来。
Expect a lot from someone: 对某人期望很高。Parents always expect a lot from their children. 父母们总是望子成龙。
The thing is: 问题是……如: Why didn't you invite me? Well, the thing is，I didn’t think you would want to come. 为什么你没邀请我？哦，问题是我以为你不会愿意来的。
