Peter: Have you talked to harry?
Mary: He called me.I haven't called him back. The fact is... I'm in love with somebody else.
Peter: You are?
Mary: At least I think I am. It's not the time to talk about it.
Peter: No. Go on. Would I know his name, this guy?
Mary: You'll think I'm a little girl with a crush.
Peter: Trust me.
Mary: It's funny. He's saved my life twice and I've never seen his face.
Peter: Oh. Him.
Mary: Your're laughing at me.
Peter: No, I understand. He is extremely cool.
Mary: But do you think it's true, all the terrible things they say?
Peter: No, no. Not Spider-Man, not a chance in the world. I know him a little bit. I'm sort of his unofficial photographer.
Mary: Has he mentioned me?
Peter: Yeah.
Mary: What did he say?
Peter: I said...He asked me what I thought about you.
Mary: And what did you say?
Peter: Isaid..."Spider-man". I said. "The great thing about M.J...is...when you look in her eyes...and she's looking back in yours...everything feels....not quite normal. Because you feel...Stronger...and weaker at the same time. You feel excited...and at the same time...terrified. The truth is, you don't know what you feel...except you know what kind of man you want to be. It's as if you've...reached the unreachable...and you weren't ready for it."
Mary: You said that?
Peter: Well, something like that.

彼得：你和哈里谈过了吗？
玛丽：他给我打过电话，我没有回。事实上……我爱上了另一个人。
彼得：真的吗？
玛丽：至少我觉得我是。现在不是谈这件事的时候。
彼得：不，接着说。我可以知道他的名字吗？

玛丽：你在笑话我。

玛丽：但你相信大家说的那些可怕的事情都是真的吗？
彼得：不，不。那些事不是蜘蛛侠干的，一点可能性也没有。我对他有一点了解。我可以说是他的非正式的摄影师。
玛丽：他提到过我吗？
彼得：是的。
玛丽：他说了些什么？
彼得：我说……他问我对你有什么看法。
玛丽：你怎么说？
彼得：我说：“‘蜘蛛侠’，我说，M.J.的动人之处在于……当你凝望她的眼睛……而且她回应你的目光时……所有事看起来……和往常不太一样。因为你感到……更坚强……同时也更脆弱。你感到兴奋……同时也感到……恐慌。事实是，你不知道你的感觉……除了你知道了你想成为什么样的人。这就像你已经达到了不可达到的境界……而你还没有为此做好准备。”
玛丽：你说了这些？
彼得：嗯，差不多是这样的吧。
