Landslide kills 11 in eastern Indonesia

JAKARTA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people died in a landslide that hit Indonesia's easternmost province of Papua, according to TV reports Tuesday.
The landslide occurred just after midnight Tuesday at the outskirts of the provincial capital of Jayapura.
Footage from Metro TV showed soldiers dug the mud to evacuate victims and placed bodies into yellow bags.
Nine bodies have been pulled out so far.
