原来这“eat my dust”是指“在比赛中获胜、赢得比赛”的意思。“赢得比赛”为什么和“吃土”扯上了关系?想想看,如果是在一场长跑比赛中,跑在前面的选手脚下掀起的尘土会落在后面选手的脸上,颇有些让他们“吃土”的意味。
