Recently, the South Africa Division of the Seventh Belt and Road Initiative Short Video Competition was officially launched.

Driven by high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, the friendly ties between China and South Africa have been continuously deepened, with solidarity and collaboration further strengthened. Substantial achievements have been made in economic and trade cooperation. Cultural and people-to-people exchanges have flourished. The China-South Africa all-round strategic cooperative partnership in the new era continues to advance toward higher quality, broader scope, and deeper engagement.

The event will, through short videos, showcase the mutual benefits achieved by China and South Africa in economy, culture and other aspects, and it looks forward to new chapters of cooperation between the two sides.

It welcomes the participation by witnesses, constructors and narrators of the Belt and Road cooperation projects between China and South Africa.

Now the call for entries has officially opened online. Participants can submit their works either as individuals or on behalf of organizations. The following awards will be given to participants for their entries: BRI Cooperation Stories Award, Cultural Integration Award and Green Innovation Award. Winners will receive official certificates issued by the competition organizing committee.

Themed "Bridging China and South Africa: From the Cape to Future", the event was organized by China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Times Online, supported by the News Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of South Africa.
